Earlier this morning Duane “Dog” Chapman announced that his wife of 13 years, Beth Chapman, has lost her battle with cancer.
Beth Chapman was the current president of the Professional Bail Agents of the United States (PBUS) and was a vocal person against the bail reform movement.
In 2017 she had announced that she had throat cancer and aggressively fought it. Doctors advised that she was cleared and in remission later that same year. Last November the cancer was found again and it appeared to be worse.
This morning Duane Chapman tweeted “It’s 5:32 in Hawaii, this is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain. Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven. We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side”.
People both loved her and hated her, but she became a strong voice for the bail industry.
From Badge & Bail Magazine, rest in peace Mrs. Chapman, we will all keep up the fight to save bail.
