Badge & Bail Magazine has staff writers with a wide variety of experiences. Each of them have been in the bonding industry for many years and understand the issues and concerns many of our readers are facing today. We strive to publish articles and news that will help to advance the profession and raise awareness with the general public as to how professional bail bonds provides a valuable service to our communities.
Founder & Editor-in-Chief
James “Jim” Evancho has been working in the bail bond industry for over 20 years. He first started as a bail recovery agent in Cobb and Fulton County Georgia where he developed a permanent bail recovery business. Throughout the years Jim expanded his business across Georgia and then into Tennessee and Alabama where he also began training prospective and current bail recovery agents.
Jim became an approved instructor for the Georgia Bail continuing education requirement and taught for the years he remained in Georgia until his relocation to Alabama.
Jim has written numerous training manuals, runs bail specific groups and chats, has been called as an expert witness in the Federal Court System and currently runs Badge & Bail Magazine.
Lee Katheryn Fuller
Chief Financial Officer
Lee Kathryn Fuller has her Masters Degree in Business with a minor in Accounting. Lee has handled the business affairs of both large and small companies across the South East.
Lee has also worked as a political reporter for The Jacksonville Journal based in Alabama where she has cultivated numerous contacts and established many friendships.

R.E. “Scott” MacLean III has been a criminal justice practitioner for over 30 years. Scott has been a licensed PI, Bail Bondsman, Bail Enforcement Agent, educator, and public speaker. Scott has a master’s degree in criminal justice and public administration and attributes his success to the many mentors that have graced him with their knowledge.
